Ward’s Window on Indy in November!

Hey there, Indy! November’s rolling in, and I’ve got the lowdown on some of the best events around town that will have you feeling right at home for the holidays. Whether you’re here for the food, the festivities, or just the good ol’ Indy vibe, this month’s lineup has it all. So, dust off that favorite fall jacket and let’s dive into what makes November in Indy so special!

World Food Championships
November 8-12 | Indiana State Fairgrounds

If you’re a foodie like me, the World Food Championships is basically a dream come true. It’s an epic showcase of top culinary talent, where chefs bring their A-game with BBQ, burgers, desserts, and more. I’m telling you, the food here is next-level delicious, and it’s a perfect excuse to eat your way through the competition (for research purposes, right?). This event is packed with flavors that’ll have you planning your next Indy dinner party.

Indianapolis Monumental Marathon
November 9 | Downtown Indy

Every November, the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon brings a fresh buzz to the city. There’s something about cheering on the runners that just feels good—like we’re all in it together. I’ll be out there with my coffee, catching the action along the route, and maybe throwing in a few “You got this!” shouts. This is one of Indy’s traditions that reminds us all just how strong our community is.

FOWLFest Craft Beer & Cider Festival
November 9 | Factory Arts District

For my fellow craft beer and cider fans, FOWLFest is where it’s at! It’s hosted at Garfield Park, which is already a gem, but when you add in some of Indy’s best local brews and ciders, it becomes the perfect fall hangout. I’ve found a few favorite brews here over the years, and it’s always fun to catch up with friends while sampling something new. This one’s a must if you like your festivals laid-back and delicious.

Festival of Trees
November 15– January 4 | Indiana Historical Society

I can’t say enough about how the Festival of Trees kicks off the holiday season for me. If you haven’t been, picture 75+ twinkling trees, each with a unique theme that will have you and your family captivated. It’s truly one of those spots where Indy locals meet and greet, all while soaking up the magic of the season. I love seeing the creativity in each tree, and it’s a fantastic way to add some sparkle to a chilly day.

A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage
November 25 | Butler Arts and Events Center

For anyone who grew up watching the Peanuts gang, A Charlie Brown Christmas live on stage is a chance to relive those classic moments. It’s a charming way to kick off December, and it brings back all the nostalgia of childhood holiday seasons. Plus, there’s just something about the music and heartwarming story that feels perfect this time of year. Grab a friend or bring the family—it’s worth every minute!

Downtown Indy Circle of Lights
November 29 | Monument Circle

This one’s close to my heart. The Circle of Lights has been an Indy staple for years, and there’s nothing quite like that magical moment when the lights come on around Monument Circle. If you’re like me, you’ll want to bring a thermos of something warm, settle in with friends, and let the holiday spirit do its thing. From the live music to the countdown, it’s pure Indy tradition, and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
