German American Klub Oktoberfest

September 4th–6th | German Park
Ready for some bratwurst, beer, and dancing? The German American Klub Oktoberfest has all of that and more. This festival has always been a favorite of mine—the authentic food, lively music, and community spirit are unmatched. I love seeing everyone come together, raising their steins in a cheer to good times. Prost, Indy!

Jupiter Flights Balloon Festival

September 5th–7th | Fishers, IN
Looking for a magical way to kick off September? The Jupiter Flights Balloon Festival at Conner Prairie is where you’ll want to be. There’s something truly enchanting about watching these massive balloons light up the sky. A perfect weekend pick-me-up with something for every age.

September 6th | Carmel Arts & Design District
Car lovers, unite! The streets of the Carmel Arts & Design District turn into a rolling museum: classic cars, supercars, and even a Porsche-Palooza and Lotus-Palooza. It’s automotive artistry—and yes, I’ll be wandering every row.

9th Annual Hoagie Eating Contest

September 13th | Lafayette Square
This one’s for the foodies. Contestants will take on giant hoagies in a lighthearted but competitive showdown. It’s a fun (and tasty) way to spend a Saturday cheering on some big appetites—all for a good cause! The event is a fundraiser for HVAF (Helping Veterans and Families).

Indy Jazz Fest

September 9th-20th | Downtown
Nearly two weeks of jazz, soul, Latin fusion, and pure community pride across venues like the Jazz Kitchen, The Cabaret, and the Schrott Center. Local favorites and Grammy-level performers raise the vibe all month, culminating in the grand finale under the stars at the Everwise Amphitheater in White River State Park.

14th Annual Oktoberfest

September 26th | Monument Circle
Missed the Oktoberfest earlier this month? No worries! The Columbia Club has you covered with another round of German fun. This Oktoberfest brings all the beer, food, and music you’d expect, right in downtown Indy. I always love seeing how Indy celebrates different cultures, and this festival really brings out the best of the German tradition. So grab your lederhosen and get ready for a weekend of celebration!
